What is Baton Board?
Baton Board is a cockpit you assemble for yourself. You start with an empty board, drop in the widgets you need, drag them where they belong, resize them, set the colors. Keep separate boards — profiles — for work, for study, for a side project.

Moves at the speed of thought
The command palette (Ctrl/⌘+K) searches the entire board at once — task text, notes, links, goals — and jumps you straight there. Undo and redo whenever you change your mind.
Drop in a bullet list, get tasks
Copy the "- do this / - do that" list your AI just gave you, paste it into Bulk add, and each line becomes a task automatically. It even reads - [x] as done. The activity log keeps a timeline of who added what — you, your AI, the clipboard, the extension — and when.
AI assistant (Pro)
Hand your board to AI and ask it to summarize, suggest next actions, or break a task down. The key detail: the AI API key is your own. Your prompts never pass through our servers — the exchange happens directly between you and your AI provider.
Sync across devices (Pro · end-to-end encrypted)
A task you add on your phone shows up on your desktop board. The synced data is encrypted on your device, and our server only ever sees ciphertext. We cannot read your content. You are the only one holding the key.
Everywhere, on your own rhythm
It runs right in the browser, and installed as a PWA it opens offline too. With the desktop app (Tauri) and the Chrome extension, you can right-click the page you're reading and send it straight to your board. Light, dark, or follow-the-OS themes; eight languages; fully responsive. It fits into your day.
Privacy — local-first and zero-trust
Baton Board's most important promise is simple: your data lives on your device, and only there.
- Everything on your board is stored locally (in
localStorage, or in a file on the desktop app). - No account required. Our servers do not hold your board.
- Even with sync on, only ciphertext reaches the server. The decryption key never leaves your device — that's the zero-trust design.
- External API connections assume read-only keys, and the
data.jsonyou export has its authorization keys stripped out automatically. - Automatic backup and point-in-time restore are built in. If data ever breaks, you can roll back with one button.
Because nothing is parked in the cloud, it stays fast, quiet, and yours.
