The Complete Baton Board Widget Guide
In Baton Board, everything is a widget. You drop the parts you need onto an empty board, drag them around, set their size and color, and assemble your own cockpit. That's the whole idea.
This guide walks through all 11 widgets, one at a time — what each is for, how to use it, and what's free vs Pro. If you're new, read top to bottom and you'll know exactly what to put on your board.
The app helps you too. Hover over any widget and a small how-to hint slides up from the bottom. When in doubt, hover.

The 6 free widgets
Even on the free plan, these six are enough to build one genuinely useful board.
1. Tasks (To-do)
What it's for: the day-to-day "things to do" — the star of the board. How to use: type in the field at the top and hit Add. Check to complete; press ▸ to open details (subtasks, due date, priority, tags, color). Reorder subtasks with ▲▼, and click the assignee badge to toggle You / AI. Tasks can be dragged into another Tasks widget. Tip: paste a bullet list or AI output into "📥 Bulk add" and each line becomes its own task.

2. Notes
What it's for: client notes, meeting notes, an idea bank — free-form text. How to use: click to edit. Markdown is supported (headings #, lists -, quotes >). The A−/A+ buttons change the text size — no symbols required.
3. Links
What it's for: shortcuts to the tools and sites you use most. How to use: enter a label and a URL, then Add. Reorder with ▲▼.
4. Timer (Pomodoro)
What it's for: 25 minutes of focus, 5 minutes of rest — a rhythm for deep work. How to use: press Start; it switches to breaks automatically. Change the durations in ⚙.
5. Countdown
What it's for: the days remaining until a deadline or event, shown big. How to use: set a date and it counts down the days.
6. Calendar
What it's for: a month-level view of due dates and plans. How to use: switch between month / week / list. Press the + on a day to create a task due that day.

The 6 Pro widgets (measure and sustain)
These come with Pro ($9.80/mo equivalent) and are about measuring and keeping things going. The natural path: build your foundation for free, then add Pro as you start to scale.
7. KPI
What it's for: the trend of a number you care about — revenue, views, subscribers — as a graph. How to use: in ⚙, choose Manual or API. For manual, enter a date + value and hit Record. Your history builds up so you can see when it was how much, with a recent list (date, value, change ▲▼). Delete a wrong entry with the × on its row. If a goal is linked, its target line overlays the graph. Vs free: free has no dedicated part for measuring. Add KPI and your effort becomes a visible number.

8. Goal
What it's for: a target like "$10k this month," tracked with a progress bar. How to use: enter the target and current value. Link it to a Tasks or KPI widget and the current value updates automatically. Add a deadline and it shows the pace needed ("N days left, X per day").
9. Habit
What it's for: the things you want to keep doing — daily posting, exercise. How to use: tap the day's circle when you did it. 🔥 is your streak; the month view also shows a completion rate. Switch week / month and set a monthly target.
10. Agenda
What it's for: every task deadline, gathered into one place in due order. How to use: tasks with due dates appear here automatically (read-only). Overdue items show in red.
11. Activity
What it's for: a log of who (you / AI) added what and when. How to use: it fills in chronologically (read-only). Especially useful when people and AI share the same board.
12. PDCA (daily reflection)
What it's for: a personal daily improvement loop — Plan, Do, Check, Act, plus tomorrow's Plan — saved per day with a private history. How to use: tap "pull today's done tasks" to fill the Do field from the tasks you completed today, then add a line of Check and a small Act. With the Pro AI assistant you can draft the Act and tomorrow's Plan once a day (it uses your own API key and only drafts). It is strictly personal and stays on your device — for a team's shared daily report and evaluation, see the companion norolu PDCA.

Start from a finished board with industry templates
You don't have to build from scratch. From the toolbar's Templates (▦), drop in a finished, industry-specific board in one click. There are 10 industries × Free and Pro — Freelancer, Online shop, Creator, Coach, Salon, Café, Real estate, Social-media agency, Personal trainer, Writer.
Each template is a reference-quality board: the widgets are colored and sized for that industry. The Free version runs the industry on the 6 free widgets; the Pro version adds the starring Pro features (revenue KPI, daily habit, deadline list) so you can see exactly how much better it gets. Look first, apply if you like it, then make it your own.
